You start with 10 experience points, and apparently, you chose to recieve NG news updates as well as Daily flash portal top 5 notices, which gives you and extra 10 experience points, and a total of 20 experience points, which is enough to get you to level 2.
You might as well start leveling up, you can't lose experience points :P
